About Kiwinui Trust
Established under the jurisdiction of the Māori Land Court, Kiwinui Trust is an Ahu Whenua trust managing the land block known as Rangitaiki 31P 3F on behalf of all registered beneficial owners and their descendants.
The Rangitaiki 31P 3F Estate
The Trust administers approximately 412 hectares of productive forestry land and riparian conservation zones in the Rangitaiki river basin in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.
Under Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993, the primary objective of the Ahu Whenua Trust is to promote and facilitate the use, administration, and sustainable development of the land in the interests of the beneficial owners.

Active Commercial Rotation
Forestry operations adhere to sustainable rotation cycles, sediment erosion containment, and strict compliance with the National Environmental Standards for Commercial Forestry (NES-CF).
Sustainable Forestry Principles
Our forestry management plan balances commercial timber returns with continuous environmental responsibility.
Rotation & Silviculture
Pruning, pre-commercial thinning, and roading maintenance are scheduled according to long-term inventory growth models. Harvest coupes are kept contained to minimize open ground exposure.
Riparian Water Protection
Waterway setbacks are permanently protected from clear-felling. Continuous native planting along the river banks preserves water clarity and protects fish habitat from sediment run-off.
Health, Safety & Access
Operating a zero-harm policy. Access protocols are maintained during active harvesting, with safety inductions mandatory for all contractors and whānau visiting the block.

The Trustees are appointed through the Māori Land Court to safeguard the assets, exercise fiduciary duties, and ensure transparent distribution of reports to beneficial owners.
